Going Through The Changes

GOING THROUGH THE CHANGES

I used to think the pain would never end
But my friends told me this too shall pass
Trials that I face never last forever
Athough it makes me feel I'm coming in last

It's so different than it used to be
Don't have to find myself alone anymore
I've got many friends that I can really trust
What more could I ask for?

Used to be hard to try to understand
Why things turned out the way they always would
I can change the way of my thinking
I begin to change what I'm feeling

Trying to keep a hopeful attitude
Even through the storm I hold to gratitude
Some things in life never seem to change
I can change my tune

Going through the changes
They're always bound to come
Growing through the changes
Instead of feeling numb
Going through the changes
Won't happen overnight

I'm holding on tight...hold on...hold on...

Now I'm helping others find their own way
Keeping what I have by giving it away
Got to feel the feelings and face my fears
Sometimes it will take the shedding of tears

Everything's different than it used to be
There's so much love I can feel today
I have many friends I can truly love
What more can I ask for?
