B. The "Escape Pod" Decoy

This was a clever trick pulled on me while I was in a weak Corporate Flagship. My ship was armed with only 400 shields, 1,700 fighters and 15 corbomite devices. My agenda was to attack this escape pod which belonged to an evil corp I was competing against. What I didn't know was that it was loaded with corbomite devices. I do not recall the amount of corbomite but it did 8,000 battle points of damage to my ship leaving me (ironically) with an escape pod.
 
I discovered later that this same corp had another escape pod decoy 20 sectors away. After finding this one, I concluded that they were both Ferrengi escape pods. What I don't know at this point is whether Ferrengi, Alien and Good and Evil trader ships differ in the amount of corbomite devices which can be loaded into each of these ships. (DMD 4/1/96).

d. Corbomite Devices

These serve practically no purpose. The maximum any ship can carry is 1,500. These hurt even more the person that destroyed you. Not useful because they are expensive when added up (150,000 credits) and do not do a whole lot to your enemy.
